The Corps Legal Aid CDS group has visited the Old Prison in Birnin Kebbi to render free legal services to inmates thereat.

Speaking further, Mr. Abubakar gave an insight into the nature of offences of inmates being held in the facility. and hinted that owing to the fact that the stay of Corps Lawyers are time bound as regards their status as Corps members, the prison authority has selected inmates with cases which is believed, can be disposed of within the period of their service.
It was then time to give the lawyers a sense of direction to effectively take bet9ja their briefs, the prison officials furnished members of the Corps Legal Aid Scheme with the warrant of commitment in respect of those inmates against whom one has been issued. Speaking after the inmates had retired to their to their cells, president of the Corps Legal Aids CDS and organizer of the visit, Barrister lkenna ivan Ubani, told members that the days of merely holding statutory meetings and lounging around were over. Conscious of the fact that justice delayed is justice denied, the Judicial Committee of the CDS group, led by Barrister Ii. With this development, the stage has been set for a beehive of judicial activities in the courts in Kebbi State ditto Corps Lawyers serving in the State in fulfillment of their professional obligation and service to fatherland.
